What is SAVI?
SAVI (pronounced “sav-ee”) is the System for Analyzing Verbal Interactions.
SAVI is a communication tool that provides a systematic, objective analysis of what makes conversations succeed or fail. SAVI focuses both on what we say and especially how we say it.
There are ways of communicating that make it much more likely that a message will get through accurately and effectively. Effective information transfer can lead to more satisfying conversations, more efficient problem solving, and easier decision making.
SAVI analysis enables us to pinpoint patterns of interaction that facilitate personal and professional communications and relationships.
SAVI is a descriptive non-judgmental approach, focused on behavior, not personality. SAVI analyzes and predicts how the words and tones we use in communication impact what parts of a message are heard and received clearly, and which aren't.
Seeing communication as not about who you are, but instead as more related to what and how you say it, a SAVI lens allows us to see everyone as capable of using new behaviors to communicate more effectively. SAVI provides practical strategies and ideas that can be applied in any context where you want to hear and be heard clearly.

You'll learn much more about this on day one!
Some communication behaviors help information move smoothly from person to person. Some behaviors make the transfer a bit slower. And some behaviors bring effective communication to a halt.
In this workshop you'll discover which behaviors act like a green light in communications, and which behaviors have the impact of a yellow or red light during our conversations.
